I've been waiting to post this for ages.

My two loves in their own Music Video.
I love them.
The movie was wonderful, by the way.

In a honky tonk, down in Mexico.

My love, Paolo Nutini was in Toronto the other week to promote his record, Sunny Side Up at Indigo at Bay and Bloor. He also did a concert later on that night, but unfortunately, I did not buy the tickets in time.. :(
Anyways, I dragged my friend along to the performance and we got into the "signing line", which was really a large area of space cut off my velvet ropes. We were standing right behind the people in seats, so we weren't far away from the little makeshift stage. Seeing him perform live was amazing. Better than I'd expected. He played about 3 or 4 songs off his new record and then did a fantastic cover of The Coaster's 'Down in Mexico'. We didn't stay for the signing because we had to attend this thing in High Park for our friend, so we left after his performance.
All in all, it was a wonderful day.
:D
Here is a video I took.

Here is Paolo performing Down in Mexico at another gig.
My, he has pipes.

You're my Playground Love.

I love this version of Playground Love. Ever since I watched The Virgin Suicides, I've had a little thing for the French duo Air and their music. The band Pheonix does a great job covering the song. They had a cameo in Marie Antoinette, which is one of the most aesthetically pleasing movies that I have ever seen. Sofia Coppola, hats off to you. Pheonix is from the little region in France called Versailles, which is also known as my future home. When I was on my trip to Spain and France, I bought a gold septum ring at this very grungy but clean Tattoo place for about 12 Euros. Not bad.

I want your fu-fu-fu-fu future love.

She was magnificent.
Keisha, Jono, Teresa and I(Canary sweater) in line.
Although the line up was ridiculous and the people were extremely rude, all in all it was a beautiful concert. We were pretty close to the stage, which guaranteed us good pictures. The only downfall was that there was no opening act, just a dj playing top 40 for about an hour. Also, she was almost 40 minutes late performing. It was pretty annoying waiting for that long in a crowd of sweaty teenagers, but when she came out, it was totally worth it waiting that long.

Guess who i'm seeing in concert tomorrow?

GGGGGAAAAAAGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
I'm actually quite excited, considering I don't like her that much.
I do believe that she does have real talent, which is hard to find in Hollywood these days.

I love this bitch's style.

I've got unfinished business

Say hello to White Lies, my newest beloved.
They're a fairly new band from England.
If you're into Joy Division, then this band is for you.
Harry McVeigh is marvelous as the lead vocal.
His voice just oozes Ian Curtis.

Summer Mixtape

This are the songs that remind me of summer.
Sweet, sweet summer.

This is the summer before College/(Hopefully) University. It has to be monumental.
I'll expect nothing less.

Coachella

These pictures of Coachella are making me feel depressed about living in Canada.
At least we'll have the Virgin fest in the summer.
I LOVE this bitch.

Gluey feathers on a flume.

This is my current obsession.
Say hello to Bon Iver.
I found out about him in an article from Spin Magazine's Big in '09 issue.
"Bon Iver is the name of American indie-folk singer songwriter Justin Vernon's current band and most notable music project to date. While in high school and college, Vernon founded the band DeYarmond Edison with Brad and Phil Cook, and Joe Westerlund in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. After a long period of success in the Eau Claire music scene, the four band mates decided to leave their longtime home and move to North Carolina to try their musical hand in a new place. The band released two records themselves, the first self-titled and the second titled Silent Signs and an EP of unreleased material is available on their Myspace page. After nearly a year in Raleigh, Vernon left for Wisconsin after a breakup with the band and a girlfriend. The remaining members of DeYarmond Edison went on to form a new band called Megafaun and remain good friends with Vernon. After the breakup of a band, relationship, and bout with sickness (mononucleosis of the liver) Vernon left Raleigh and moved back to Wisconsin spending three months in his father's cabin in the woods of northern Wisconsin. Vernon did not intend to write or record any music during the time but rather to recuperate from the events of the previous year. Eventually a record began to evolve during this cathartic time of isolation. Vernon played all the instruments during recording and each song was heavily edited with a large number of overdubs. Vernon wrote most of the lyrics for the album by recording a word-less melody and listening to the recording over and over and writing words according to the sound of the syllables of the melody. The record was almost not released and was originally intended as a group of demos to be sent out to labels and potentially rerecorded. But after getting very encouraging reactions from a number of his friends, Vernon decided to release the songs himself in their present state. After significant positive reception, helped by word of mouth and its popularity throughout the blogosphere, Vernon decided to sign to the indie label Jagjuwar which subsequently gave the album a proper release. Vernon has said that he will continue to make albums without engineers and producers because he is capable of doing it all himself."

When you listen to his music , you can actually hear the pain in his voice.
It's so beautiful
