The Boat That Rocked.

Oh my, I am in love with this movie. I finally watched it online the other day, and I was still smiling after the credits. This is the type of movie that makes me love British cinema. I love this decade in music. The cast was great, and I strangely have a tiny crush on dear Philip Seymour Hoffman. Tom Sturridge was marvelously handsome, as always. He just might be more good-looking that Pattinson, don't you think? I really love what Richard Curtis does with movies. He makes you want to be in the movie and befriend the characters. At least, that's what I wanted to do whilst watching this. Plus, my Rhys Darby was in it. (Holla, Murray from FOTC) Every scene was just as briliant and funny as the last. Nothing was lacking. Every character fit together perfectly like a puzzle. Oh, and the soundtrack is magnificent. This is definitely a movie I would recommend to anyone.

The movie was wonderful, by the way.

In a honky tonk, down in Mexico.

My love, Paolo Nutini was in Toronto the other week to promote his record, Sunny Side Up at Indigo at Bay and Bloor. He also did a concert later on that night, but unfortunately, I did not buy the tickets in time.. :(
Anyways, I dragged my friend along to the performance and we got into the "signing line", which was really a large area of space cut off my velvet ropes. We were standing right behind the people in seats, so we weren't far away from the little makeshift stage. Seeing him perform live was amazing. Better than I'd expected. He played about 3 or 4 songs off his new record and then did a fantastic cover of The Coaster's 'Down in Mexico'. We didn't stay for the signing because we had to attend this thing in High Park for our friend, so we left after his performance.
All in all, it was a wonderful day.
:D
Here is a video I took.

Here is Paolo performing Down in Mexico at another gig.
My, he has pipes.
