We are golden.

I've loved Mika ever since his first album came out. His voice is so beautiful. This is the latest video off his new album. I'm so excited for it! :D

LOVE.

1) I love Johnathan Ross and his little lisp.
2) I plan on becoming Vivienne Westwood in the next life.

Repo!

After weeks of my brother's constant nagging to watch this movie, I finally sat down and watched it. Here is the synopsis of the film:

In the year 2056 - the not so distant future - an epidemic of organ failures devastates the planet. Out of the tragedy, a savior emerges: GeneCo, a biotech company that offers organ transplants, for a price. Those who miss their payments are scheduled for repossession and hunted by villainous Repo Men. In a world where surgery addicts are hooked on painkilling drugs and murder is sanctioned by law, a sheltered young girl searches for the cure to her own rare disease as well as information about her family's mysterious history. After being sucked into the haunting world of GeneCo, she is unable to turn back, as all of her questions will be answered at the wildly anticipated spectacular event: The Genetic Opera.
Overall, I actually enjoyed the film a tiny bit. It was so bad that it was good. First of all, Paris Hilton served as one of the supporting actors. We all know every movie that she cameos in is an ultimate box office winner right? It was blatantly violent and humorous at the same time. The music was actually pretty well orchestrated by the creators, which was a plus. The storyline is actually pretty good when you really look at it. I'm not into that whole Sci-Fi phenomenon, but I kind of liked this. The whole thing that threw me off was Paris Hilton starring in it. In my opinion, if she wasn't in it, it would be so much better. Here are a few songs that I really liked and enjoyed:

This has to be the funniest scene in the movie

Oh Lily.

This has to be one of my favorites off It's Not Me, It's You.

Who wears it best?

Hmm, it seems that the Agent Provocateur body is indeed making rounds among Celebrities.
To be honest, I quite like it.
I would totally wear this suit out, but go with the Lily Allen ensemble.
We don't want to be revealing too much skin, do we?
In my opinion, Daisy Lowe wears it best, just because I love her.

French men do it waaaaaay better than you. (Photo + Video Evidence)

There's something about French men. I don't know what it is, but I am always drawn to their looks, accents, even style. Forget about all you know about Spanish, Italian, even Australian men. This post is dedicated to French men. My top 5 French male actors, to be exact.

5) Vincent CasselVincent Cassel has it all. The looks, the acting chops, and the beautiful Wife, Monica Bellucci. (I find them two incredibly cute together). He's famous in North America for his roles in Eastern Promises and Ocean's Twelve. He's been nominated for countless awards overseas and even won the Cesar award for best actor in 2008. I find his rugged exterior and baby blues irresistible.
Funniest scene from Ocean's Twelve. My, he is flexible.

4) Romain DurisI first saw Romain Duris in the French movie L'Auberge Espangnole as Xavier, a foreign exchange student, and then in the follow-up sequel, Les Poupees Rousses. He can play fairly good comedic roles as I saw from the two movies. In Dans Paris however, he was awesome as the suicidal brother of Louis Garrel(more on him later), Paul. Dans Paris was directed by one of my favorite directors, Christophe Honore, who directed such movies as Les Chansons D'amour and Ma Mere.
Here is a clip from Dans Paris. I wish men would sing quietly over the phone to me..

3) Gaspard UllielThis man has the sharpest Jawline I have ever seen. And I like Jawlines. He proves that he can play any role, as we've seen from his movies. From playing a young psychotic Hannibal Lecter to a wounded soldier in WWI trying to get back to his beloved. He's also gotten recognition for his acting in the form of both nominations and awards presented to him at the Cesar awards. I was so excited when word broke out that him and my other love, Louis Garrel might be starring in a film together soon. Word has it that movie screens around the world might explode from the sheer beauty of these two actors sharing the same screen together.
Here he is in the fantastic movie, Paris Je T'aime.

2)Louis GarrelOh man, I love him and his beautifully sculpted face. I first saw him in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers as Theo. Such a good movie. Since then, I've been following his career and watching his movies along the way. Louis and Christophe Honore are the French Johnny Depp and Tim Burton. They've worked on 4 films together so far. My all-time favorite role that he played was Ismael in the musical Les Chansons d'amour. I hope to see more collaborations between Louis and Christophe in the near future! Like Gaspard Ulliel, Louis recieved a Cesar for Most Promising Actor. He's married to the French First Lady Carla Bruni's sister, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and they recently adopted a African baby girl.
Here is a clip of Les Chansons d'amour.

1) Guillaume CanetThis man will always be first in my books. Ever since I saw him in Jeux D'enfants, I fell in love with this smiley-eyed gentleman. He has just the right amount of sex appeal and talent that makes him fascinatingly sexy to me. I'm so happy when I see pictures of him and his girlfriend, Marion Cotillard. I thought they were so adorable together in Jeux D'enfants and the will continue to be as cute in their new movie together that should be released soon. Like the rest on this list, Guillaume also won awards at the Cesars. He won Best Actor, which was a great accomplishment, and also won Best Director for his film Ne le dis a Personne. He was also in Ensemble C'est Tout with the goddess Audrey Tatou, where he played a frustrated Chef. The movie was based on a novel by Anna Gavalda. It was tranlated into English and given the title Hunting and Gathering. There is only one copy left in like, all of Toronto at the World's Biggest Bookstore. I look forward to buying the book soon and seeing all my French men blossom into sexy megastars.
Here is a scene from Jeux D'enfants. So lovely.

You're my Playground Love.

I love this version of Playground Love. Ever since I watched The Virgin Suicides, I've had a little thing for the French duo Air and their music. The band Pheonix does a great job covering the song. They had a cameo in Marie Antoinette, which is one of the most aesthetically pleasing movies that I have ever seen. Sofia Coppola, hats off to you. Pheonix is from the little region in France called Versailles, which is also known as my future home. When I was on my trip to Spain and France, I bought a gold septum ring at this very grungy but clean Tattoo place for about 12 Euros. Not bad.

Kelly Osbourne, you are one lucky woman.

Luke Worrall is the new Male Model i'm going GAGA for.
He is the opposite of the usual Dolce and Gabanna tanned buff model.

Ugh, they're so cute together.

First Loves Part 2

This is a continuation from my previous post. Like the last one, this is counting UPwards from 6-10.

6) William Miller-Almost FamousIf I were a little lass living in the 70s era America, this would have definitely been my significant other. I love the shyness and innocence of Patrick Fugit's character. His hair is also an obvious plus. Whenever I'm bored on a Sunday afternoon, I usually pop this movie in and imagine I'm living in that majestic time.
This scene is one of the greatest in the history of film, in my opinion.

7) Jake Ryan-Sixteen Candles
I was so excited when I got this movie as a present for one of my Birthdays many years back. I was so excited because I could watch it over and over again whilst marveling at Michael Schoeffling. Sixteen Candles was brought to us by the great mind of John Hughes, the master of Teenage Comedies. It's sad that Michael Schoeffling only did one big budget movie after this, and that was Mermaids, one of my favorites coincidentally.

8) The whole Cast of Trainspotting
This movie is one of my all-time favorites. I'm still waiting for the sequel, Danny Boyle! Every actor in this movie wins my heart every time I watch it. It's one of those movies where you're rooting for the main character to get it together, which I love. I've got to say, I love Ewan McGregor as a unhealthy heroin addict.

9) Robbie Turner-Atonement
(*HERE BE SPOILERS*)
Everything James McAvoy touches turns to gold. Seriously. When I first read the book, I was quite distracted, so I didn't really get that both Robbie and Cecilia died without seeing each other again, so I went into the movie thinking all ended well. I was terribly surprised when the ending was revealed to the audience. I sat there like an idiot, dumbfounded at what happened and bawling my eyes out. James McAvoy was brilliant in this role. He is one of the next great actors, i'm predicting. This movie is truly heartbreaking for the romantic type. Be sure to have a box of tissues at the ready when you watch it!

10) Jude Feeny-Across The UniverseAlas, no good movie list would be complete without the good ol' Musical. This perticular musical stands out because 1) Jim Sturgess, a god in my eyes plays the main character, and 2) It's based around the music of the Beatles, who are my life. It's a major plus that he can actually sing too.

Honorable Mentions
Russel Hammond-Almost Famous
Jonathan/Ismael Benoliel-Dans Paris, Les Chansons L'Amour
Julien Janvier-Jeux D'Enfants

Ian Curtis-Control
Matthew Kidman-The Girl Next Door

My love.

Here is one of my favorite couples out and about.
I don't much care for Blake Lively, but Penn Badgley makes up for it in his sexiness.
I really wish that his hair was a tad bit shorter though...
